You can’t deny the head-turning appearance of the modern Dodge Charger and the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 is no different. This model is performance-rich and meant for the driver who likes to style and speed all in one. Since the re-introduction of the Charger in 2006 plenty of fans of muscle cars have accepted the modern generation of Chargers after being upset with it’s modern incarnate. The main reason for their disappointment could’ve been, in part, the breaking of a bit of nostalgia mixed with cultural importance on television and racing.
Yet that all faded and the current Charger for 2012 is even more pleasing. Not only does it feature a powerful engine but also a stiffer suspension, bucket seats with excellent contours and trims. It’s not only powerful under the hood but also has a bold design many of Chrysler’s vehicles are known for while offering a smooth drive. For the model with the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 you can expect a hefty 470 horspower that performs amazing in a 0 to 60 speed test using automatic. So you can be sure it performs even better under manual. The 2012 SRT8 is an all-around sleek yet powerful-looking vehicle with power to match its look. Yet it is still a gentle enough of a sedan that can also be a family vehicle for daily travel. For performance and even safety you have access to plenty of the vehicle’s performance ‘information’ through its touch panel. And, on its digital dials, you can see various temperatures of your vehicle’s air intake and more. The SRT8 version of the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 is available for around $49,000 while the base Dodge Charger is available for around $26,000 with a still powerful 3.6-liter V6 @ 305 horsepower.
While this vehicle may not be for everyone, price-wise or otherwise, it’s a great vehicle brand with a reliable and deep history that is very appealing.
