3 Things to Look for When Buying a Bra

Being “well-endowed” might seem like one of the best gifts in the world. However, it can also be a pain. Women with larger breasts need to pay attention when it comes to choosing their bras. They need one that is going to provide them with the support and lift they need to keep them looking amazing and feeling great at the same time. Bras that fit well are going to do more than help your appearance, they are also going to adjust your posture, alleviate pain in your shoulder, neck and back and more. When you learn how to choose the right bra, it can transform your life and your wardrobe all in one swoop.

3 Things to Look for When Buying a Bra

Look at Style First

There are a number of different styles from which you can choose. Any number of these bras can give you the support and lift you desire when you are well-endowed. Many of the different bras that are designed for women with larger breasts can provide you with the coverage needed. Instead of having your breasts spilling out of the cup, you can get a cup that covers your breast completely.
If you desire a bra that provides you with a secure fit, search for ones that have the fastener in the back. They should have a minimum of three hook closures. A wider strap can help to reduce the strain on your shoulders.

Size Matters

Regardless of what the style of your bra is, it isn’t going to provide your bust with support and lift if it isn’t the right size. One of the best ways to go about determining what size bra you need to wear is by going to a lingerie shop and having a professional fitting. If that isn’t an option, you can always figure it out in the comfort of your own home. Make sure you put on the bra that fits the best. While pulling the tape measure taught, measure underneath of your bust line to determine what your band measurement should be.

When the number is odd, you need to add an inch to it. Next, measure around your breast at its fullest part. Keep the tape measure parallel to the ground. Don’t hold it too tight. This will help determine what your cup size should be. Take the band size away from the measurement around your bust. Each cup size equals an inch. Four-inches equates to a D-cup. If the measurement underneath of your bust is 34-inches and the measurement around the breasts is a 38, try a 34D.

Make Sure Your Bra Fits Properly

Your bra should cover your breast fully, including all of the tissue underneath your arms. Wires should lie against the chest. There shouldn’t be a bunch of excess fabric in the cup area. Cups that are too small are going to push your breasts out of the cups.

Even though a good-fitting bra can make all the difference in lifting your breasts, it might not give you the final look you desire. When all else fails, you can turn to a breast lift procedure to give you the permanent lift you desire.
