How Does Aereo Work?
Its magic. Well, not really but Aereo is magical in that it makes cable boxes and tangled cords disappear along with high monthly cable bills. The trick is a tiny antenna that Aereo developed. With Aereo, you can also get rid of those big cable dishes on top of your house because the Aereo antenna is in the Aereo Cloud (A warehouse). The Aereo antenna is about the size of a dime buy it can capture over-the-air television waves and send the signal to internet-connected devices in your house.

How Much Does Aereo Costs?
As of this writing the Aereo website lists a basic monthly membership for $8.00 a month, plus tax. That price gets you 20 hours of Digital Video Recorder (DVR) space, which isnt much, to record your favorite shows so that you can watch them later. But for $4.00 more, you can upgrade to 60 hours of DVR space and the ability to record two shows at once. Both plans come with 24/7 access to a remote antenna in the Aereo Cloud to get the live television broadcasts in your home coverage area, subject to capacity. Data rates may also apply, so check with your broadband provider or wireless carrier for details.
