What is the best volumizing mousse for fine hair? The truth is that there isn’t one absolute best volumizing mousse for fine hair because each person’s hair will respond differently to any one hair product. However, there are several excellent volumizing mousses that will provide volume and hold for fine hair and I will tell you exactly which ones they are. But wait, how do I know which ones are best? First of all, I have been a hairstylist since 1983, and second, I use only the best volumizing hair mousse on my own hair. Before we get into the best hair mousse I would like to share a few styling tips that will help obtain volume and keep it. It’s one thing to get volume, but it’s another to keep it. To keep volume you need more in your bag of tricks than a good hair mousse.

To get and keep hair volume you need hairstyling knowledge and you can get it in one of two ways. One is from experience and the other by learning it from your stylist. Oops, there is one more thing, you also need a good volumizing hair spray and I’ll share one of those with you as well. The proper application of hair mousse is vital you can’t just throw a glob of foam on hair and blow dry. The hair must be properly prepared before application it can’t be too wet or too dry. If hair is too wet the mousse will be diluted and can become ineffective. If hair is too dry then mousse may be overpowering and you end up with hard crunchy hair.

Another tip is to be sure to apply mousse evenly from roots to ends and COMB It through for absolute thorough coverage. The finer teeth in the comb the better, especially with fine hair. This way each and every hair strand is covered and none left behind to sabotage hairstyling efforts. Then after all of that you need to pick the hair to separate hair strands and or curls, if you don’t then hair is in clumps making it heavy and difficult to achieve volume. That’s right it’s work! You didn’t think it would be easy did you? Styling fine hair is never easy if you want volume and hold that lasts all day and into the night.

Lastly, here is my favorite and best volumizing mousse for fine hair, as well as a couple more. Vavoom Volumizing Foam by Matrix is my top pick, I have used it for many years and it has never let me or my hair down. Tigi Catwalk Fashionista Big and Bigger VolumizIng Foam and Big Sexy Humidity Resistant Volumizing Spray Mousse are excellent as well. As far as volumizing hair spray goes I choose Matrix’s Vavoom Freezing Spray and Kenra Volume Spray Super Hold. Each one of these hair styling products provide maximum volume and control for fine hair and that’s what it’s all about isn’t it?
