Stage 0

Stage 1 and 2

Stage 3
In phase number 3, the cancerous tumor has grown to more than two inches away, and has reached and penetrated the lymph nodes in the armpits. In some cases, this is the type of cancer known to spread to lymph nodes near the breast bone or other tissue near the breast.

Stage 4
In stage 4, this is metastatic cancer. The cancer has spread beyond the breast and lymph nodes to other parts of the body.
