Broken City Soundtrack (2013)

Atticus Ross, Claudia Sarne and Leo Ross have collaborated for the Broken City soundtrack. Atticus Ross, a British composer, producer and musician is most well-known for composing the music for the 2010 film The Social Network along with Trent Reznor. For the music they composed for the film, they bagged the Best Original Score award at the 2010 Academy Awards. The two collaborated again for the soundtrack of the 2011 film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Ross has worked with a lot of artists and bands in the past. These include Nine Inch Nails, Korn, Union of Knives, and of course Trent Reznor. Ross’ other film soundtrack credits are 47 Ronin starring Keanu Reeves and The Book of Eli starring Denzel Washington. For the Broken City soundtrack, Ross collaborated with Claudia Sarne, a member of his band 12 Rounds, and Leo Ross, his brother.

Broken City (2013) Trailer Songs
There are two songs featured in the first two trailers of Broken City, These are Power by rapper and hip-hop artist Kanye West and Flower by Moby. Flower is one of the eleven tracks contained by Moby’s B-side compilation album called Play: The B Sides which was released in 2000 then in 2004. The song was also featured in the movies Gone In 60 Seconds (2000) and Swing Vote (2008). Power on the other hand is the lead single in Kanye West’s 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The song also features vocals from Dwele, a soul singer.

Mark Wahlberg (Pain & Gain, Transformers 4) and Russell Crowe (Les Miserables, Man of Steel, Noah) leads the cast of Broken City, a crime drama about a mayor hiring a private eye to spy on his wife whom he suspects is cheating on him. Crowe plays the mayor and Wahlberg is the ex-cop-turned private eye. Allen Hughes (The Book of Eli, From Hell) directed the film from a screenplay written by Brian Tucker. Catherine Zeta-Jones (Side Effects, Red 2), Kyle Chandler (Zero Dark Thirty, The Wolf of Wall Street), Barry Pepper and Jeffrey Wright completes the main cast.

Side Effects – This psychological thriller directed by Steven Soderbergh is about a woman who abuses prscription medicine as she tries to fight off the anxiety of her husband’s impending release from incarceration. Rooney Mara, Jude Law, Vinessa Shaw and Channing Tatum also star in the film.

2 Gunns – Wahlberg joins Denzel Washington, Paula Patton, James Marsden, Bill Paxton, Fred Ward, Edward James Olmos and Allie DeBerry in this action crime drama about a Naval Intelligence Officer and a DEA agent investigating each other as a result of an elaborate and complicated scam. The film is directed by Baltasar Kormakur (The Deep, Contraband, White Night Wedding, Jar City, A Little Trip to Heaven).

Winter’s Tale – Based on a 1983 novel by Mark Helprin that carries the same title, Winter’s Tale follows the adventures and travails of a thief named Peter Lake. The events in the film are set in Manhattan. The cast includes Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay, Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, William Hurt, Will Smith, Matt Bomer and Lucy Griffiths.
