The whites of an egg have approximately 19 calories, 4 grams of protein, less than one gram of fat and relatively no cholesterol. With that said, a large portion of the whites contain the bulk of the sodium of an egg. There are 55 mg of sodium in the whites while the entire egg has around 62 mg. 55 mg of sodium is nothing to be overly concerned about as this is less than 3% of the daily average recommended maximum intake allotment of sodium.
In todays fast-paced modern society it seems to be getting more difficult to find healthy food choices. By removing the yolks of an egg you eliminate any concern in regard to the healthiness of eggs.
