Bad breath can be a big problem for you and your social life. People may not want to stand close to you and you may be embarrassed of your bad breath. Most people know that they have bad breath, but dont know what to do about it. Luckily, there are ways to cure bad breath so you can be happy about your social life again.
-Bad breath is caused from bacteria in the mouth so it is important to brush, floss and use mouthwash at least three times a day. You may even want to use a tongue scraper to rid any other bacteria that may be sitting on your tongue. Brushing with mint toothpaste will give you a minty taste in your mouth however, using baking soda will rid any extra acid that your mouth may be producing.
-Tobacco chewing, smoking and drinking alcohol are three other ways most people get bad breath. Avoiding all three of these will help prevent it. Also, certain foods may cause you to have bad breath. Garlic and onions are two major types.
-Go to the dentist often to check to see if you have any cavities. Having any cavities that arent taken care of will result in foul breath. It is possible that you may have a type of gum disease as well.
-Keeping your mouth moist is important so the bacteria doesnt have enough time to grow. When your mouth is dry bacteria has an easier time growing. It is important to drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. If you still find you have dry mouth, chewing sugarless mint gum will also be a big help.
-Mix 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% water in a cup and swish in your mouth for at least 30 seconds. This will kill all the living bacteria very quickly. When you do this, be sure not to swallow any of this mixture.
Living with bad breath can be a problem, but fortunately, it can be fixed. Using any of these remedies will reduce the risk of you having bad breath during social outings.
