In high school and in college, pimples were a very rare sight. Thats why a couple of months ago, when I got pimples on my forehead and on my cheeks, I didnt know what to do. But at least I now can relate to my friends who suffered from these pesky skin imperfections.
I didnt want to go to the dermatologist to seek for medical advice because I was worried about the cost. So what I did was to find a cure for my pimples using natural, effective, yet cheaper alternatives. In my research, I found several methods, and in a moment, Ill share them with you. But among those remedies, theres one that was able to get rid of my pimples for good — the aspirin method.
Alternative Method 1: Aloe Vera
Its not a big secret that aloe vera has properties that make your skin beautiful and blemish-free. Unfortunately, this didnt work for me. But its worth a try. The method is simple. All you have to do is to harvest an aloe vera stalk, scoop the inside, which comes in a gel form, and then spread it onto your face. You can leave it overnight if you want.
Alternative Method 2: Honey
Use honey as a cream. Its sticky, so I dont suggest that you sleep with it, lest the ants and other sugar-sucking insects will sleep with you. Leave it on your face for twenty minutes or more, and then wash it off with water.
Alternative Method 3: Aspirin
Go to the drugstore and buy uncoated aspirin. In a bowl, put three or four tablets, and then put half to one tablespoon of water. Youll see that the aspirin will melt immediately. Put the paste onto your face, and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse it off after.
In my research, aspirin contains salicylic acid, a compound that effectively kills pimple-causing bacteria. Oh, did you know that this can also be a great exfoliator? Even without pimples, you still can use this method to get rid of dead skin cells for a fresher and smoother skin.
