One of the best things about having a television package with Sky is not just the fact that there are many packages to choose from, nor is it the fact that you get a lot of channels, even in the basic package, the best thing is that there is always someone there to help you if you need it. Sky TV contact is very easy, especially if you decide to use the sky free number, which is free from any sky subscribed landline. Let’s take a look at the TV packages available and which ones are best suited to your needs.
The Original Bundle
This package is great if you are just starting out on your own, or have never been with sky before. It caters to a tight budget at only £20 a month. For that you get over 280 channels, of which 11 are in high definition. No other company does this to date. In the past the basic meant the bare bones, but with this you have a large variety of channels to watch!
The Variety Bundle
This is a significant step up from the original bundle and has the added bonus of catch-up children’s shows. Great if you have kids, but there is also an extra 40 channels including the 286 on the original bundle. This bundle also includes other features such as sky go. This is a great way to watch live sky TV on a compatible device, such as a laptop, tablet or phone.
Another added bonus of the variety bundle is the fact that you can catch up on hundreds of TV shows. There are many box sets available of some of the top shows out currently, including documentaries and children’s cartoons. This bundle is only £10 more than the basic package and well worth a look if you are willing to spend a bit more money.
The Family Bundle
As the title says, this is the family bundle, specifically tailored to suit families; it has over 365 channels, 50 of which are high definition. It also has a huge library of box sets to watch for free at your leisure. That’s great if you are watching something and haven’t seen the first episode, or maybe you enjoyed a series so much that you want to watch it again. It’s all there for you to do so.
If you are one of the few people who have a TV with 3D capabilities, then this package might be for you even if you don’t have a family. This package has the added feature of Sky 3D, it’s great for documentaries, as it is extremely immersive. This is around £36 per month.
Along with these main packages, there are also extra features you can add on, such as films and sports, depending on what you like. There is an extra package known as the complete bundle, which is everything, including the sports and films, but you have to remember there might be channels in there you never watch, so only pay for the bundle that will suit you most. It is also possible to alter your bundle with just one phone call!
