A good exfoliator for sensitive skin isn’t just about finding an exfoliant product that won’t be too harsh for the skin, but also about the type or method of exfoliation. There are several methods of exfoliation you can use and with some of them you don’t even need a skin exfoliating wash, cream or cleansing product.
In fact, it’s not a bad idea to try these methods of exfoliation before you invest in exfoliating washes or cleansers that you may or may not need. For example, I use an exfoliating washcloth on my face all by itself with no wash or cleanser of any kind. I have very sensitive skin, especially on my face, so if I am not careful it will get irritated.
Other methods you can experiment with are exfoliating mitts, gloves, pads and sponges, without the use of any type of exfoliating wash or cream, just to see, which one, if any, would be a good exfoliator for sensitive skin on a regular basis. Many times, it takes the process of trial and error to find good skin care products anyway.
One of the most popular methods of facial exfoliation is the battery operated facial cleansing brush, however, it is advisable to always use some type of cleanser when using this method of exfoliation. Furthermore, if it comes with a cleanser always check to see if the description specifies that it is safe for sensitive skin and if not then it might be better to pass.
It’s also a good idea to alternate methods of exfoliation to give the skin a new feel and glow. You don’t have to spend a fortune to do it either since there are many exfoliating products aren’t that costly. You can buy exfoliating gloves for $5 and exfoliating wash for under $10, that’s only $15 for two methods of exfoliation, very affordable.
As you can see it doesn’t have to cost and arm and a leg to get a good exfoliator for sensitive skin. While it’s true that skin care can be costly it’s also true that it doesn’t have to be, especially when it comes to exfoliation. Exfoliating the skin is one of the best and least costly ways to acquire and maintain soft beautiful skin.
There is no other type of skin care treatment that can make skin look and feel as good as exfoliation does in a matter of minutes!
