Hamilton Beach 67650 Overview

Juicing Features

The 67650 also known as the big mouth pro juice extractor (hence as you might have guessed is an upgrade to the 67601) is an extremely popular & well-regarded model (given its juicing properties & is priced below the $60 mark), having being voted as a ‘Best Buy’ product.

With regards to specifics, it features an ultra powerful 800 watt motor (1.1 hp) that in turn allows it extract more juice than any other juicers (e.g. up to 24% more apple juice per glass) & can get juice even out the ‘toughest produce’. It has the wide chute so you can quickly drop fruit, vegetables down it — so you don’t have to spend as much time (if any) prepping and cutting to fit down the chute.

Specifications & Aspects

Furthermore, the actual 20 oz container which the juice extracted is then stored in also serves as a pitcher attached to spout funnel to release juice into any size containers. Note that all the parts are dishwasher safe & easily cleaned as well as all the essential cutting elements being stainless steel which further add to the durability & performance of the big mouth pro.

Further minor beneficial features also include: the die cast metal locking clips to keep it all secured, an extra large pulp bin for continuous juicing and as you can see from the image on the right it has a commercial toggle on & off switch (rather than a dial).

In all, the big mouth pro is designed to be fast, durable and highly effective and it certainly ticks all those boxes and really is a fantastic piece of cooking equipment to have around — basically a high quality yet affordable juicer — awesome value for money.

With regards to the warranty it comes with a 1 year coverage of parts & labor and you also get a recipe manual of various concoctions e.g. spicy veggie delight, fruit utopia, the go-getter etc. as well as a specialized cleaning brush with ‘micro-soft bristles’.

What’s the Difference Between the 67601 and 67650?

There are very subtle differences between the two juicers and none of them really have a direct impact in being a ‘better’ juice extractor. So the 67650 comes with a profession toggle on and off switch whereas the 67601 just comes with a dial & also has the die cast metal locking clips for safe operation with stainless steel strainer basket. Apart, from these factors and a slight design difference (see images above) they are exactly the same.

Should You Buy the Hamilton Beach 67601 and 67650?

With a price difference of around $15, I’d probably go for the 67601 simply because I don’t believe the slight variations made with the ‘pro’ are all that great and don’t justify the extra $15 — this being said, I can see why many would still opt for the pro over the basic version. However, both models are quality appliances & so no matter which one you choose — they make maintaining a ‘healthy lifestyle’ that bit much easier — so are on that basis definitely worth such a small investment.
