I still think since this is an apartment kitchen you should focus on minimalism kitchen. A small apartment kitchen will not hold very much in the way of dishes utensils pots and pans and other kitchen appliances so you have to choose wisely unless you don’t mind having a kitchen that looks like it should be on the show hoarders. That being said you need utensils for eating and cooking. You don’t need a large fancy set of utensils. Just buy enough so you can go a few days without washing them if you have the luxury of owning a dishwasher in your first apartment. Pots and pans are different, don’t buy enough to last a few days just buy the types and sizes you need for the meals you will want to prepare. Think about what you will want to cook and what sizes and shapes of pots and pans you will need to get the job done. Pots and pans take up quite a bit of room so don’t buy more than you need.
