How to Identify Fake Smartphones – Valuable Tips

Recently it was all over the news that some Chinese phone manufactures have manufactured exact replicas of branded smartphones and circulated them in the market. As a mobile phone user, you should be able to differentiate between the fake and the original smartphone. Low cost of the fake phone may not always be the determining factor anymore these days. Why? That is because even the fake ones are sold as with the same monetary value as the branded counterparts.

Let’s take an example of a fake Lenovo smartphone that has been floating in the market for quite some time now. The fake Lenovo smartphone does not have the specific Lenovo Home button and the Lenovo Vibe UI. If you delve into the hardware of the fake Lenovo smartphone, you will find that it is not very smart. The hardware specifications are equivalent to an ordinary smartphone.

If you check out the fake Lenovo S820i specs, you will find that it has a dual core MTK6572 processor that runs at 1.2GHz as opposed to the original Lenovo S820i smartphon,e which has an octa-core MTK6592 chip running at 1.7GHz. There is a difference in the camera quality as well. The fake Lenovo S820i smartphone has a 5 MP camera whereas the original Lenovo S820i smartphone has a 13MP camera.

When you are looking at some Freecharge Promo codes or any other promotional and discount coupons, you will have to be very careful where you are using them. Off late, there was some news that fake phones were being sold on online stores as well. When you are buying any smartphone, you will have to make sure that you buy it from a genuine online store. Ask for a proper receipt for the smartphone. If you have not received a receipt via the courier service, you will have to ask for it from the customer care of the online store.

Most online stores will send you a soft copy of the bill, but you will have to insist that you get the hard copy as well. When you receive the hard copy of the bill, you will have to check if it is signed in original and not just a photocopy of the original. There are some instances where shoppers have forgotten to take the bill and have regretted for not taking it when their mobile phones got damaged. Remember that you will get a service warranty only if you have an original bill of the product.

If you have already bought a smartphone and you feel that it is a fake one, you will have to check it out immediately. You can visit a genuine phone dealer and ask him or her to validate the smartphone. Alternatively, you can check out the IMEI number on the smartphone. In most fake phones, the IMEI number will be missing. When you put your hard earned money in buying a smartphone, you deserve to get the original one. You should never compromise on the quality of the smartphone because there are many health hazards associated with the use of fake phones.
