How To Use Retin-A

Although created for the treatment of acne most people use if to remove wrinkles and fine lines. It is effective. But you have to know how to use it. Most physicians will tell you to use it in the morning and evening.

This is far too frequent. One should only use it at night.

The first time you use it you should wash your face, let it dry then cover your face and neck with Retin-A and rub it in. You don’t have to use much of it, just enough to cover.

In the morning you wash your face and use your moisturizers.

In about three days your skin will feel so dry that if you smile it will crack. That night you don’t use Retin-A. You wet your face and use petroleum jelly. Remember we are talking wrinkles here, not pimples.

In the morning moisturize your face and that evening after you wash you face and moisturize it, wait a bit, then use your Retin-A.

Whenever your skin feels really dry, use wet petroleum jelly.

You may be able to go four days without the dryness or only two, all skin is different. You may find you need two nights of petroleum jelly. However, you must keep using the Retin-A for the true benefits.

You may find that you must, in most cases use it after you have slathered your face with moisturizers. You may skip a day, but never longer. Retin-A has a cumulative effect. the true benefit will be seen in about a month or so. Your skin will look younger.

Stay out of the sun, for you can not mix the two. If you are going to be in the sun, don’t use Retin A. During the day always use something with UV protection.

Keep your face as moist as possible using the best creams you can, and each night, use Retin-A. It does work, but you need to know how to use it.
