Charitable Donations

When you make donations you are assisting the needy. Nobody should ever feel bad about donating to organizations that are in need of the assistance. If you want to get the most bang for your buck, you will need to study up on the organization itself. It has been reported that some national organizations use a whopping 90% of the funds raised to cover their expenses. This means that only about 10% of the funds raised ever makes to those that need the assistance. Still, donations are a great way to go if you really want to assist the needy.

People You Know

If you are the type of person that needs to see the benefits of your financial assistance, it may be wise to assist those that you already know. If you want to help poor people get money, this is a good way to make sure it goes to someone you know. Best of all, you can still remain anonymous if you choose to.

Total Strangers

If you have heard of someone that has fallen on hard times and you really feel you should lend them a helping hand, you can do so, even if you don’t know who they are. In addition, you could simply go to a shelter to find people that deserve your assistance, or just ask around. This type of assistance can also be done anonymously, so you won’t need to make it known that you are doing so, if you so choose.

Other Forms of Assistance

If you want to help poor people get money, you don’t have to make financial contributions to make it happen. If you prefer, you could consider any of the following.

School Assistance: Whether you donate funds or help to tutor someone, the end results could very well be the same.

Teaching Skills: If you have a special skill that you can share, you can assist the needy that way as well. For example, I am pretty good at earning with articles and have offered up assistance to others looking to do the same.

Hiring Workers: Maybe a handout isn’t the way to go. If you are a business owner or simply need some assistance with a project, hiring someone could do you a lot of good if you want to help poor people get money.
