It takes a bit of work but it is possible to invest enough in North America to pump up our economy. It is obvious that the only problem some people might see with purchasing products manufactured in North America is the cost of these items. Products manufactured in North America usually come at a premium cost. Why? Wages in North America are much higher than in other countries like China or the Philippines. Everything costs more in North America. Housing food clothing toys vehicles everything except maybe for gas. Gas prices in some European countries come at a high cost. Although Canada gas prices until recently have been quite high as well.

Finding suitable products whether it is food or clothing or other items can take some work and time the first time you are looking for a specific item. Pickles for example. If you want pickles made in North America you obviously have to look at labels to find where the product was manufactured. Not bottled. Sometimes the product is manufactured abroad and then shipped to the USA in bulk containers where it is then put into smaller packages for retail. Once you find the pickles made in North America the next time you go for groceries you will know which ones to select. Initially it would take some time and effort but after that it will take no effort at all.

The reason your local retailers stock so many foreign items is because they are a business trying to make a profit. They are also trying to stay competitive with other retailers. They purchase product on demand. So if the North American items are all that are being purchased eventually the foreign products will decrease in numbers. This is when you are helping your own country out.

Most likely you will enjoy the products more than the products that have to be shipped weeks or maybe even months before you purchase them. Especially when we are talking food products. This is exactly how you can invest in your own country by doing something you already do today. It takes some work up front but afterwards it will be second nature. Give it a shot for one month and see if it is something you can commit to too help out locally.
