Investing in Dubai

Dubai has become a center for investment particularly in real estate. Many people have flocked to Dubai to partake of the proverbial apple pie. But the crash of Dubai world when it defaulted did dent the investment climate but property is back to an upward graph and likely to reach further heights.
The investment climate earlier was earlier dictated by the oil boom in Dubai of the sea coat. But all this changed with oil reserves known to taper off to zero by 2016; other avenues were opened by the Dubai government. The setting up of the Jebel Ali free zone and Dubai Investment Park (Dubai Internet City) the foundation for a high quality technical infrastructure was laid. These areas were given special status by the Dubai government and international and local business houses applied for licenses to set up businesses in these places. These places with extra infrastructure are still available and it will not be a bad idea to set shop in one of these promotion zones.
The Dubai stock exchange is flush with cash particularly after the end of the second gulf war that led to the toppling of Saddam Husain. Volumes have now tapered down but the stock exchange is still robust
Moreover another aspect that cannot be ignored is the tourism and hospitality industry. This has not been affected by the recession and the number of tourists are coming to Dubai are as before. This tourist industry is likely to grow and thus investments in this field will be a paying proposition. The Dubai government will not allow this to wither away and tourist promotion activities like duty free shopping will always be there to give impetus to this aspect of Dubai business and investment. Investment in the hospitality sector could be a profitable venture.
Though the earlier bonhomie in the real estate business has come back.. In fact in case you have surplus money to invest this may be good time to invest in real estate in Dubai as after this the market may only go up. Earlier Dubai had earned dubious name for money laundering and many known criminals were known to have an anchor in Dubai. But laws are made stricter now and this activity is curtailed to an extent.
Thus in case you have cash an investment in Dubai may really pay off. The watch word is keep your eyes open and be alert and you will be on the plus side
