I eat a clove of raw garlic when everyone is sick.

Most people have heard of the benefits of raw garlic, if not, I will list a few.

It may help to lower blood pressure.
It may help to reduce high cholesterol.
It thins the blood.

*if you are on blood thinners you may need to check with your doctor if raw garlic is safe to ingest.

Scientists and doctors are split on the effectiveness of garlic, but it has been used since ancient times. I can only speak from my own experience. Before I began to eat raw garlic my blood pressure and cholesterol were high, since I began eating raw garlic, my blood pressure and cholesterol are completely normal.

Aside from this garlic provides other secret attributes. If you are a male, you may find that this is a great substitute to Viagra, ahem, let’s leave it at that.

But, back to my original point. Garlic contains allicin. Allicin is an anti-viral, anti-oxidant, and anti-fungal -unlike penicillin, viruses do not become resistant to Allicin.

This is an important point. Allicin will never lose potency against germs, penicillin does.
Penicillin is much more powerful than Allicin so it is no substitute. But, for the common cold Allicin is more than enough to knock it out.

What’s the catch? There is always a catch isn’t there.
Well there are two.

1st the garlic must be eaten raw. Raw garlic tastes horrible, and you will smell horribly after you eat it. This will take you a long time to get used to. If you are going to eat the garlic- do it at night before you go to bed.

The garlic must MUST be eaten raw. Only by cutting, crushing, or chewing the garlic can it release Allicin. You can’t swallow an uncut clove.

This is how I eat it, I crush it with a garlic crusher, and then I mix it in with some yogurt.
The garlic can’t not be cooked. If you cook it, it will lose the Allicin. You will still get the benefits for the blood, but you won’t get the antibodies.

To go over this again.
The garlic must be raw.
The garlic must be crushed in order to release the Allicin.

2nd point.
Most garlic nowadays is imported from china. This garlic doesn’t contain Allicin. When the Chinese treat the garlic before they ship it- the process that they use to preserve it kills the Allicin.

In order to benefits of garlic, you must purchase organic garlic.
I repeat, you must purchase organic garlic.

If it isn’t organic, it’s worthless.

See the green center? This is organic garlic.

How can you tell if its organic?

Purchase a non organic head of garlic. Chop it in half, you will see the center is hallow.

Now purchase an organic head of garlic, and when you cut it in half you will see that in the center there is a green stem.

See the green center? This is organic garlic.

If it doesn’t have the green stem in the middle it isn’t organic.
