Juice fasting tips

I recently started trying the juice fasting diet. It’s more than just a diet it’s a lifestyle change. Most diets fail because people think they can do the diet, lose the weight and go back to the lifestyle they had before. When you do this you gain the weight back, sometime even more weight. Juice fasting is just the beginning. After you have lost the weight and gotten your health back on track, you will continue to incorporate juicing into your normal routine.

What is Juice Fasting?

Juice fasting involves using a juice machine to extract juice from the fruits and vegetables. You can get far more vitamins and nutrients by juicing a lot of vegetables and fruit. Juice fasting is a way to give your body all the nutrients it needs without all the calories and the hunger cravings. Fruits and vegetables should be the most consumed food type with meat being on the lower end. By juice fasting you remove all meat from your diet and take in an extremely high amount of fruits and vegetables. This gives you an incredible amount of nutrients and vitamins with little fat or calories. Your body could not digest the extremely high amount of vegetables used in juice fasting.

Types of Juice Fasting.
There are several popular plans that people sometime follow for juice fasting. The most common one is the 10 day reboot. On this plan you consume water and juice only. This will cleanse your body of toxins and you will lose weight. From the results I have seen on other people, most people lose between 10 and 30 pounds during this reboot.
Another plan is just to simply substitute one meal with a juice. This gives you a big boost in health but allows you to still eat solid food. This plan will help you lose weight and regulate both your weight and health.
Other people have done the juice fasting for 60 or even 100 days. Several success stories online can be found where people lost 50 to 100 pounds by simply following the juice fast diet.

I have only been juicing for a couple of days. But in that time I have learned a few things. It’s hard to drink juice that is composed mainly of green vegetables. Always include some fruit to sweeten up your juice. Apples, pears, strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, peaches, plums and mangos are some of my favorites.
Wash your fruit and vegetables very well and buy from a place you trust. Remember these are not being cooked so there is nothing to protect against diseases and germs on the vegetables and fruit.
There will be a lot of waste leftover from the fruits and vegetables. Some people use it as compost in their gardens. Other people use a dehydrator to make a cracker out of the left overs.
A good juice to start with is the Mean Green. It is the most famous juice blend for people trying to juice fast. The ingredients for the Mean Green are:
1 cucumber
4 celery stalks
2 apples
6-8 leaves kale
1/2 lemon
1 tbsp ginger

Juice fasting was made famous by a person named Joe Cross. He is an Australian with an immune disease. He turned to juicing to help solve his medical condition and to help his health. He created a documentary called Fat, Sick and Almost Dead. You can find it on Netflix. The documentary is extremely motivating as you should watch it. As with all diets you need to consult your doctor before trying a new one.
