Sheryl Crow was born in Kennett, Missouri, on February 11, 1962 to Wendell Crow, a trumpet player and Bernice, a piano teacher. She is American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, musician, record producer, performer, actress, and political activist. Crows love towards music began at an early age and she graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in music composition.
Crow sang in a local band, Cashmere while in school. After college, Crow began teaching music at Kellison elementary school in Missouri, allowing her to sing with her band on weekends. After this album, Crow has released several subsequent albums and flaunted a myriad of hits, including Strong Enough, ‘Leaving Las Vegas’, If it Makes You Happy and All I Wanna Do. Crow also recorded the title song in 1997 for the James Bond movie, Tomorrow Never Dies, which was nominated for a Grammy Award and Best Original Song Golden Globe.
She sang duets with Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Willie Nelson, Kid Rock, Luciano Pavarotti, Tony Bennet and many others. She performed backing vocals in Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary for various artists including Don Henley, Michael Jackson, Belinda Carlisle and Tina Turner. Finally, she has won Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance, for the single ‘There Goes the Neighborhood’. Guest appearances were made by many musicians including Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, and Eric Clapton when she released a live album titled Sheryl Crow and Friends: Live From Central Park composed of her hit singles.
