If you want to grow your income from home and even earn a passive income, I suggest that you consider trying to become a freelance writer or blogger on the side and make money writing online, and learning how to turn a passive, part-time activity into a real business. Just about anyone can learn to set up a business, write off business expenses, and free themselves from the day-to-day grind of your day job. Or if you don’t want to quit your day job, but you want to make a little money on the side, you should read Freelance Nation, by Melissa Cooper. Make Money Writing Online by Blogging for Income
When you write a blog post, there are several ways it can make money. First, someone can click on an advertisement on your post and you get paid for that. Second, you can link to a product on a website like Amazon, and when someone buys it, you make a small commission. Typically, writers can earn anywhere from .10 cents to $1 per article, per month. While this doesn’t sound like much, the earnings can be passive – meaning that when you’re done writing, the article will continue to make money each month without your effort!
How much do some of the best bloggers earn? Well, if you REALLY succeed, you can make quite a ton of money. For example, Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income makes about $50K a month! However, these results are extraordinary!
Freelance Writing to Make Money Writing Online
Several websites will pay you for writing or blogging. Check out sites like ELance.com, which have dozens of job opportunities each day ranging in price.
Do you like writing about stocks? I highly recommend you check out the website Seeking Alpha, which pays contributors 1 cent per page view. While this doesn’t sound like much, your articles are sent out to literally thousands of readers through Email and placed on Yahoo! Finance and other financial websites, so the page views certainly add up fast.
You can also earn bonuses on SA such as Small Cap Insight ($150), or Alpha-Rich ($500), which are special recognition bonuses for great articles. I currently average about $45 in earnings per article, which isn’t bad at all. You need to really like stocks and investing and understand what makes a company undervalued (or overvalued) but if you do, then I really think you should consider giving this a shot.
