Plain yogurt: 1/2 cup
Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
Chopped fresh cilantro: 1/2 cup
Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
Minced cloves garlic: 2
Ground cumin: 1 1/2 teaspoons
Paprika: 1 teaspoon
Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
Skinless and boneless chicken breasts: 1 1/2 pounds
Ground cinnamon: 1/2 teaspoon
Freshly ground black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
Mix marinade ingredients (lemon juice, yogurt, cilantro, garlic, olive oil, paprika, cumin, salt, cinnamon and pepper) in medium bowl. Add chicken pieces to bowl and coat to marinade. Use plastic wrap to cover and chill in refrigerators 2 hours to overnight.
If you use gas grill, heat grill on high heat. Or, prepare coals for direct heat to use charcoal. Let one side of grill to be cool side. Use cast-iron grill pan on stove if you have no grill.
In few minutes, grill chicken breasts over direct high heat on one side and turn over and move to the cool side of grill. Cover and cook for few minutes so that the chicken is cooked through.
Use your fingertips to test for doneness. Or, you can use meat thermometer. Remove it from grill if the internal temperature of the chicken breast is about 165 degree F.
Be careful not to overcook because chicken breasts could dry out easily.
