Natural organic hair styling products are becoming more popular mostly due to the fact that they are eco-friendly. There are many of us that want to help save our beloved planet and this is one more thing we can do to do it. Be prepared, however, to pay a little more, since eco-friendly organic hair styling products tend to cost a little more than chemical based main stream hair products.

Another reason people switch to natural organic hair styling products is that they’re safer and healthier on the hair. Organic hair styling aids are less damaging to the hair, scalp and skin due to the fact that they do not contain toxic chemicals that main stream hair products do. When hair products are 100% organic this means that they are derived from all natural plant ingredients.

For all those who have special needs such as dry or oily scalp, skin conditions, dandruff, thinning hair, excessive hair loss or very damaged dry brittle hair, organic hair products can be a godsend.

All natural hair products are less harsh and much more compatible with our hair and skin than those that contain man made chemicals and tend to make us feel good about ourselves.

One must be careful, though, because any product can claim to be organic when it isn’t completely organic. The problem is that a product only needs to be 70% organic to be able to advertise as organic. This means that we need to do our due diligence to make sure that it is indeed 100% organic and not partially organic.

To do this you need to inspect natural organic hair styling products to see if they are 100% natural by checking for USDA organic certification and by reading ingredients carefully.

On the other hand, many people use partially organic hair care products knowing full well that they’re not completely organic. It all depends on how gung ho they are on going green and the hair product meeting their need. Shopping for 100% natural organic hair styling products can be difficult as well, it’s not like you can go to the corner drugstore and there they are on the shelf.

I usually order 100% organic hair products online, as there are several good organic hair care sites that carry what I need, which is typically gel, mousse and hairspray. Those sites are as follows: suncoatproducts.com, vitacost.com and holisticbeauty.net.

Some of my favorite almost all organic hair care brands include: Giovanni, Kiss My Face and Honey Bee Gardens.

The use of natural organic hair styling products is an excellent way to keep hair healthy and be eco-friendly at the same time. If your hair is in need of help it might be time to make the switch and give them a chance.
