Nose freckles be gone!

With the everyday exposure to sunlight, having freckles on the skin is not uncommon. The nose is an area in the face that is typically prone to having freckles. People with fair or dark skin, may experience the uneven skin tone brought about by clustered brown spots. These spots are mainly caused by the overproduction of melanin triggered by overexposure to UV rays from the sunlight. If you are conscious and often irritated with your nose freckles, there are various ways to fade the nose freckles.

Use sunscreen protection

The most important step to fade nose freckles is to apply sunscreen. Since freckles are caused by sun exposure, wearing a high SPF sunscreen daily is very important. It is advisable to use sunscreen lotion that has at least SPF 30. Apply sunscreen before leaving your home. Apply a generous amount of sunscreen lotion all over the face; making sure that it covers the entire face most specially the nose area. Let the sunscreen set first before going out into the sun.

Use fading creams on your nose

Apply freckle fading cream all over your nose. Look for fading cream that contains hydroquinone – a chemical that lightens dark spots. Apply the freckle fading cream over the nose twice everyday or as instructed. With several weeks of religious application, visible results will be seen. The brown spots over your nose will soon lighten and will blend with the rest of your skin.

Kojic Acid

Kojic acid is a chemical compound used for bleaching darkened areas of the skin. This can be purchased over the counter or with prescription. When used over the nose, it can visibly help fade the freckle.

Hydroxy Acids

Hydroxy acids are known to help stimulate the cells of the skin to regenerate and grow more quickly, replacing the damaged and dead skin cells caused by genetics and exposue to UV rays of the sun. For normal to dry skin, opt for cleansers, creams and facial lotions containing alpha hydroxy acid are your best bet. But if you have oily skin, you can use beta hydroxy acid, since it is heavier on the skin.

Cryosurgery

With the use of lightly frozen liquid nitrogen, cryosurgery is done in the dermatologist’s office to treat some types of freckles. Since not all types of freckles responds to this treatment, it is important for prior assessment at consultation with a dermatologist before having the treatment.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy substantially improves freckles by using light waves to break the brown pigments over your nose. By doing a series of treatment, it is possible to completely remove nose freckles and have a clear and even skin tone. Discuss the option with your dermatologist and ask details about the procedure and its effects on the pigmentations caused by freckles.

Freckles may be a visible signal that you have a sensitive skin. By using a treatment suited for you, you can surely fade the freckles. Still, it is important to avoid over exposure to the sun, especially between 10am and 4pm. Consult your dermatologist before beginning a treatment.
