Occupy Movement … Misguided?

“A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions”

Many in mainstream media and the corporate world treat the importance of the Occupy Movement as trivial, unimportant, immature and even, fools. “The “occupy” people are just whiners and complainers that have too many silly request”. It’s semi-true. That’s because complaints are just whining … unless you have a solution. The resolution of conflict seldom comes as a result of complaining; rather from understanding of the solution. In order to get there, you must have a complete understanding of the opposition. Seeing the opposition as intentionally being wrong is not a step towards resolution. Your opposition does not believe they are wrong nor what they are doing is evil. With an understanding of their perspective, you can begin to see how it is possible they believe that what they believe is right. Then you can take the proper steps to resolving your conflict.

The Corporate Agenda

The corporate agenda is not necessarily evil … but it is running a road fueled by greed. I believe those in “occupy movements” do have a real understanding of that issue. The corporation was formed with good intentions. Many stockholders invest in the entity (which, by the way, has all the rights of any individual citizen) and as business grows, it grows in value, all stockholders benefit. Nothing wrong with that. However, with only one mandate of making a profit for those stockholders, it is a system that is dependent on constant or perpetual growth. It is also dependent on the character and ethics of those directing that growth … supposed Americans. It works well. It does a good job of driving growth. But we all see what has happened. As ethics and character diminished and greed grew wild, that focus of constant growth became an addiction fueled by greed … and assisted by the policies of central banks. (Central banks are a separate important subject)There is a finite amount of growth, or profits, which can exist in America alone, so that addiction for growth set in motion the logical idea of exporting, and getting more growth by doing business with more customers than just doing business with America. Again, nothing too wrong with that. The agenda, the greed, the addiction to growth, also saw the logical cost savings of moving portions of their businesses … like jobs … to the cheaper areas of the world. In order to continue the growth, they must create more markets in underdeveloped countries … and bring them into the “world financial monopoly game” … many times forcefully. They say you shouldn’t blame them … they have to create profits, per their mandate, for their stockholders … all the while pushing that agenda of economic globalism by financial influence with those entrusted to protect the agenda of the American citizens… making the corporation immense profits and making the employees and politicians rich. The question of what is right or what is wrong to do for the citizens of this nation is being overwhelmingly determined by that corporate agenda. Indeed, all the societies of men in the “free” world are being determined by that corporate agenda. Don’t you ever wonder why the agenda of globalist or one world order even exist? Doesn’t it sound like an economic world domination plan?

Capitalism with freedom is no question the best system in the world. To strive to be the best … to grow … giving fulfillment and purpose to life … there’s nothing wrong with that. But there are 2 problems. It’s that the corporate philosophy of having only one directive … one mandate … to make a profit for the many stockholders, has been taken to excess. Over the years, one of the admitted driving factors of that philosophy … GREED … has been allowed to run wild, and those actions taken on that path have somehow become acceptable. Now, how is it possible that a nation built on integrity, honesty, ethics, morals, character and equality for all, could possibly accept the ugly acts we see common today, as normal? It’s because of the second reason. It’s been enough years of living in a society dominated by corporate agenda, that that corporate philosophy has permeated through society to the point where the individual’s agenda is now very similar. Those factors that I mentioned earlier, that our American nation was built on, now always take a second seat to “Hey … don’t blame me … I gotta make a buck” … leaving integrity honesty, etc. on a path that “losers” take.

But let’s get back to Corporations and big money. I am honest enough to admit, that if I were one of the officers of huge corporation or some incredibly wealthy individual, while I might empathize, I wouldn’t want to give up any of the good things I have. I deserve this … this is the way it is and it worked out for me … don’t be jealous. I honestly believe I wouldn’t want to give it up either. Its human nature … the same human nature that drives excessive greed if allowed. So it’s quite doubtful that anyone who is in the position that American citizens are complaining about, is going to do anything about your gripes. In fact, they just make fun of and minimize your importance. It must be demanded and expected.

So what can be done? There shouldn’t have to be anything done. This is(was) the greatest nation in the world. However, we are not on the path that this nation was founded on … individual rights and freedom … and the fact that every single citizen had an equal vote on determining how government would be involved in our lives … and in essence … drive society on a mutual path that was based on individual rights and freedom.

You tell me. If you do go out and vote on the issues that are important to you … the issues you believe are good for all, and are based on integrity, honesty, ethics, morals, character and equality for all … does your vote count the same as a vote that has $30K or $100K attached to it? If the person giving $30K, or $100k, or $300K wasn’t expecting it to count in their favor, what reason would they possibly have to do that? Yeah … I know. The reason political donations are acceptable is because you have the right to support the candidate you feel would best represent the nation … with no self interest in mind. I’m not sure that was ever possible, but it certainly, for the most part, isn’t possible today and seems fool hearty to allow it for the few who have good intentions, when it allows the inconceivable unethical, and unfair abuse of the system by the ultra-wealthy.

It is clear that the corporations and a small amount of individuals, have so much wealth that they are able to determine how the very laws written to govern them, are actually written … in other words, written by themselves. So laws increasingly go more and more in their favor. Remember that the corporate philosophy of “anything is justified to make a buck” has filtered down through our society. Politicians now feel it an acceptable philosophy, as that’s what they’ve lived for the last 50 years, so if the money is there, they take it.

HOW DO WE CORRECT THIS MESS? IN AMERICA, ONLY ONE WAY … 1 vote = 1 vote. End of story.

AND ALL THE ISSUES YOU AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN ARE RIGHTFULLY PISSED ABOUT … ARE ALL ALLOWED BY THE ONE HUGE ISSUE … MONEY IN POLITICS. MOST PEOPLE DON’T VOTE BECAUSE THEY FEEL OR KNOW THEIR VOTE DOSEN’T COUNT. AND, UNLESS THAT VOTE HAS HUGE $$$ ATTACHED TO IT, THEY ARE RIGHT, IT DOESN’T COUNT. IN A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE, ONE VOTE IS WORTH ONE VOTE. IN THAT SITUATION, THE OVERWHELMING DESIRES OF THE MAJORITY, WHILE STILL CONSIDERING THE VIEWS OF THE MINORITY … WILL CREATE THE TYPE OF NATION THAT WE WILL ALL ONCE AGAIN, BE PROUD OF AND HAPPY WITH. THIS ABUSE HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TO THE POINT WHERE OUR COUNTRY’S AGENDA … INDEED MOST OF THE FREE WORLD’S AGENDA … IS THE CORPORTATE AGENDA. OUR VERY SOCIETY … THE WAY WE CHOOSE TO LIVE AS HUMANS ON THIS PLANET IS BEING STEERED AND DEVELOPED BY THE CORPORTATE AGENDA … NOT YOURS!

NOTHING WILL CHANGE FOR THE GOOD UNTIL YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN!

OCCUPY DC. AND GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS.
