Oprah Winfrey – Wise Woman Progressing

Oprah Winfrey began this lifetime in Kosciusko, Mississippi on January 29, 1954, most likely as charming a child as she is an adult.

Humble were her beginnings; and unfortunately, like so many other children, she was abused by others–yet she practiced courage and intuition to progress along the way to a much happier and fulfilling life. She knew there was something better awaiting her in life and took the necessary steps of progression to make her dreams a reality.

After achieving a BA in Speech and Performing Arts at Tennessee State University, Oprah began her television and media career as a reporter and news anchor in a Nashville television station. Unsatisfied with the position, she blossomed when enabled to speak her mind and share her inner feelings and thoughts with her viewers, while appearing in an early morning talk show in Baltimore, called People are Talking.

In 1984 she moved to Chicago and became the host of the early morning talk show AM Chicago ; about a year later the show was renamed the Oprah Winfrey Show, quickly becoming the top ranking television talk show.

The Oprah Winfrey show is a production of Oprah’s own production company, Harpo Productions, Inc. Oprah’s daytime talk show became one of the most successful television productions, while being presented with numerous Emmy Awards throughout the years. She also increased awareness and a love for reading, when in 1996 she began endorsing books of value, which also increased the value and popularity of the various books listed in the Oprah’s Book Club. Oprah also founded O Magazine (aka the Oprah Magazine), of which her best friend Gayle King is the editor. Oprah is also the co-founder of Oxygen Media as well as the co-author of several books. Oprah began her ‘Oprah’s Angel Network’ in 1998, with the intention of encouraging others to make a difference in the lives of others by means of charity, while she herself covers all the administrative fees associated with her charity, so that 100% of all the funds presented go to the various charity programs. In 2006, Oprah established the talk radio channel Oprah & Friends .

However, with all these wonderful ideas, Oprah continues to progress. Oprah Winfrey is indeed the Queen of daytime television and she has worked very hard, while following her intuition to make the right choices to get there.
