I saw a couple of recipes and i had a brainwave, why not i make something extra new ! So i proceeded to try this out and my ,my, it came out real good, its quite hard for me to stop eating this. It has all the aspects of food, crunchy, salty, sweet, tasty.
Popcorn can be enjoyed in different ways and this is just one of them.
This particular popcorn treat is made from popcorn and a variety of fun ingredients that i love all put together to make this wonderful treat. Makes 20 servings.
12 cups of popped pop corn
1 Tsp. salt
1/2 cup cheese
6 squares sweet chocolate
3 squares white chocolate
1/2 cup nuts of your choice
In a medium saucepan, pour in some oil and heat over medium heat , when hot, pour in the popcorn kernels and allow to pop, removing from heat a few times and shaking well with the lid held down tight, this allows all the popcorn kernels to pop.
Melt the chocolates in a bowl , stirring occasionally, until fully melted.
Stir in the cheese until it is melted.
Then add the marshmallows to the chocolate mix and stir well and cook until well blended and mixed. then remove from heat and add the salt.
Mix up the chocolate and nuts together in a large bowl , then pour the chocolate and marshmallow mix over the popcorn mix and toss to coat evenly. Then add the sprinkles to coat too.
Pour out on a baking sheet and refrigerate for about 10 minutes until the chocolate coating firms.
This can be wrapped in fancy packaging/wrapping as gifts for holidays and parties.
It can be stored in an airtight container for 1 week at room temperature.
Dried fruits can also be added to give it that extra taste if you wish
You can also use your favorite chocolate bars to make this tasty dessert.
