PRAYER OF A WHITE BOY-LORD LIFT US UP WHERE WE BELONG

Lord I am so tired and weary

I have had so much bad karma since the advent of democracy.

I have known no peace since Mandela became President.

I have watched silently as Whites have been sacrificed and marginalised at the Altar of Apartheid.

I cringe as they blame Whites for everything-even Black ineptitude.

I watchy horrified as the last bastions of White domination are torn down

I scream silently as the last vestiges of White prominence disappear into the annals of history, never to be resurrected.

I shout in my sound proof studio ‘LET MY PEOPLE GO.’

I watch helplessly as our White Minority agonize over getting jobs as the Black Majority scream : ‘GET BACK! GET BACK!’

I watch helplessly as White Zimbabweans stream across our borders with Mugabe and Gadaffi hot on their heels.

I watch in horror as our women too, are raped and re-raped by the system.

I tremble in fear as gumboot dancers scream ‘KILL THE BOER, KILL THE FARMER,’ outside Malem’s up and coming palatial residence.

PHEW THAT WAS CLOSE-SONG NOW BANNED!

I can’t believe my ears when they say ‘MLUNGU, NO FUTURE!’

I read in horror when i see signs that say ‘BEE’ or ‘AFFIRMATIVE ACTION,’ which is actually reverse apartheid.

I watch in envy as the Chinese receive honorary White status even from the blacks, while to Whites being White means nothing!

I watch in disbelief as my White Sisters whom I planned to marry now marry whom they please, in a truly nonracial society.

I watch in anger as our streets become increasingly unsafe with the spread of foreign and local crime syndicates.

I watch in amazement as youth of all colour so easily trade sex for drugs

I am horrified to find my new neighbours in this elite suburb are former residents of squatter camp.

I am amused as my other neighbour raises a 5m high statue of what he calls Hanuman on his front lawn, despite being hijacked last month.

and i shout :’Come on man, let’s join them for that ox braai celebration next door!’
