Some of these pumpkin carving stencils range in complexity from easy and intermediate to advanced, but for those of you just starting out, if the pumpkin carving patterns make it easy for you, why not try your hand at carving an advanced stencil. All the Halloween pumpkin carving stencils are beautiful, if just a tad scary, but I think you will enjoy the challenge.
There is a wide variety of Halloween pumpkin carving stencils to choose from, so just take your pick and get ready for Halloween. I do have to say that not all the scary pumpkin carving stencils are free. But the website that charges, doesn’t ask very much. I will indicate the site that does charge you.
Some of the Halloween pumpkin carving stencils come in Adobe, so be sure you have it on your computer before trying to download any stencil. If you don’t happen to have it, you can download it for free at www.adobe.com
Spook Masters
This site has a few free Halloween pumpkin carving stencils that you can download in the form of a PDF file, but they also have around 250 pumpkin carving patterns you can look through. Plus over 150 ghosts, goblins, witches and monsters you can choose from.
But to access those 250 patterns and 150 ghosts, goblins, witches and monsters, you would have to pay a subscriber fee, and their subscription page states they will be open for subscription in October 2014. There is a good chance that their fee may also change at that time, so they list it.
If you do look at their site, you will discover some beautiful and scary stencils you can at least get for free.

Pumpkin Masters
This website offers carving tips and a pumpkin carving kit you can purchase, but what I like is that the Halloween stencils are on PDF, and all you have to do is print them out or save the file so can use it for next year.
And at the bottom of the stencil are illustrated drawings on how to tape the pattern to the pumpkin, how to carve it out, and the end product. There are only 9 to choose from, but all of them are absolutely awesome!

Laboratory of the Zombie Pumpkins
I particularly like this site because it has lots and lots of stencils, from video game characters to movie monsters. When you click on the pattern you like, it lets you know how easy or difficult the craving is.
It also gives you step-by-step detailed instructions on the tools you will need to crave your pumpkin, how to remove the insides, how to transfer the stencil, how to crave, how to preserve your pumpkin and how to light it. One more thing. To download their stencils you can register for free, but their stencils range in price from $2.00 to $20.00. How many months you join, and how many stencils you want will determine how much you pay.
Some Stencils Offered:

Conclusion
These Halloween pumpkin carving stencils are all fantastic, so which ever you choose, you can’t go wrong. It really makes you want to decorate your house with nothing but scary pumpkin carvings.
I’m going to suggest downloading from the PDF file when you can, because I noticed the pumpkin carving patterns are larger on these. Some of the sites may not give instructions on how to carve the pumpkin, but the stencils are so easy that no explanation is needed.
When it gets close to the time to carve your pumpkin, and you can’t decide which stencil to use, why not let the children pick out the ones they want. But be warned, they are all so good, that it may even be hard for them to pick out just one. I hope you enjoyed Scary Pumpkin Carving Stencils. Happy Halloween and happy carving!
