- Off-page SEO
Off-page SEO is a combination of search engine optimization methods that can help you to rank your website well in the search engines; these methods are: search engine and directory submissions, leaving comments on blogs and in forums, social bookmarking, link exchange, etc.
- One-way links
One-way links are considered to be the best quality links. Obtaining one-way links can be the most difficult method of building quality links; it usually involves sending an e-mail or making a phone call to a web site owner expressing interest in obtaining a link to your web site from a page on the webmasters web site. One of the best resources for potential one-way link requests is DMOZ.org.
- Online community
An online community is a special type of community, where people meet each other via Internet and share their opinions, impressions and experiences. Universally, these signs are thought to be signs of an online community: content (articles, information, and news about a topic of interest to a group of people), forums, and chat rooms and instant messaging.
- Online directories
Unlike search directories, online directories are populated by people, and not search engine crawlers. There are hundreds of online directories; some are general directories and some are very specific and associated to only one industry or organization. The major directories are: Yahoo! directory, GoGuides.Org, Open Directory Project (DMOZ.org), Google Directory, SearchSight.
- On-page SEO
On-page SEO is the process of optimizing the content of your web site. This includes text, images and links on your web pages. Key factors of on page SEO are keyword density, keyword placement and tags.
- Open Directory Project (ODP)
Open directory project is a directory populated by volunteers, for example, DMOZ.org.
- Organic keywords
Organic keywords are the keywords that appear naturally on web pages. Usually, for this type of keywords there are no paid keyword advertising programs or other paid advertising efforts involved.
- Organic SEO
Organcs SEO is an SEO term referring to search engine optimization efforts integrated with the web site design. There is no monetary investment involved.
- Outbound link
An outbound link is a link from your website to another website. Outbound links can add value to your site by providing useful information to readers, but they can also be interpreted as a potential jumping off point for users and provide a better PageRank for the target page.
Overoptimization occurs when all the anchor text on your web site is exactly the same as your keywords or, in other words, there is no variation or use of related terminology in the anchor text.
