XHTML is an acronym for eXtensible HyperText Markup Language. The term refers to a family of XML markup languages (modern systems for annotating a document in a way that is syntactically distinct from the text) that mirror or extend versions of the widely-used Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), the language in which web pages are written.

XML inclusion enables RSS content feeds and regularly changing content to be indexed by search engines. Examples are: AltaVista, AlltheWeb, Kanoodle, Google, and Yahoo! • XML sitemap generator

A sitemap is the easiest way to get Google to crawl your web site. The best way to accomplish that is by using a sitemap generator. Although sitemap generators are a little difficult to use, they can help you a lot. First, you have to download the sitemap generator you like and upload specific files to your web site, run the program, add the sitemap to your Google Webmaster account, and set the process up. The XML sitemap generator is a little easier to use (www.xml-sitemaps.com). All you have to do is enter the URL, wait for the program to process and the download the file to your computer.

  • XML site maps

An XML site map is a file that lists all the URLs for a web site. It is usually seen only by search engine crawlers.
