- Yahoo! Answers
Yahoo! Answers is a community-driven question-and-answer (Q&A) web site that allows users to submit questions and answer questions asked by other users. In order to open an account, you need a Yahoo! ID. The site is available in multiple languages. Participation on the site is encouraged through a voting system allowing participants to reach higher levels (there are 7 Levels). These levels indicate how active a user is and give more site access to most active members.
- Yahoo! Directory
The Yahoo! Directory is a web directory that offers two options for suggesting websites for possible listing: a free submission process (‘Standard’) and paid submission process (offering expedited reviews). It is one of the oldest online directories. The Yahoo! Directory is available at dir.yahoo.com
- Yahoo! Search Marketing
Yahoo! Search Marketing is a keyword-based PPC or sponsored search (SEM program) Internet advertising service provided by Yahoo! It is similar to AdWords, but there is also a big difference between the two; Yahoo! is very commercial, which means that many of the search results are paid-placement ads or web sites added by their owners.
- YouTube
YouTube is a video sharing platform based in San Bruno, California. Video content on the platform is user-generated and includes movie and TV clips, music videos, video blogs and other short videos. Today, YouTube operates as a subsidiary of Google.
- YouTube Partner program
The YouTube Partner Program is a program led by YouTube used to monetize your YouTube videos. By signing up for the program, you allow ads in your videos which are controlled by YouTube. As a Partner on YouTube, you receive a percentage of the ad revenue from your videos and other special features, for example, a personalized banner on your profile and above videos. There are certain requirements you need to meet in order to be accepted. These are the main criteria:
– your videos must be original and suitable for online streaming
– you most own or have the permission to monetize the content you upload
– your videos must be regularly uploaded and viewed by thousands of YouTube viewers
– supported countries for the program are: US, Canada and UK.
