Tea cup puppies are not a classification or a type of a certain breed of a dog. The word tea cup came about as a descriptive to the size of a dog and puppies. This refers to smaller size of dogs regardless of its breed. When a dog measures 17” inches or less, it had been commonly called tea cup dog. It is otherwise known as toy dogs.

There are different breeds of teacup puppies for sale. To name some, teacup Yorkies, teacup Chihuahua, teacup Maltese, Teacup Pomeranian, Teacup Pug and Shih Tzu Puppies.

Teacup Yorkie Puppies

Teacup Yorkies are classified as toy dogs. Their coat is long and silky. It requires tender brushing on a regular basis. You may also want to trim their coat for easier maintenance. Long coat can look neat and lovely. However, the longer the coat, the harder it would be to maintain. They should also take a bath at least every month. Your teacup Yorkies can easily expose to various genetic health issues. Because of this, it is advisable to have a veterinarian to regularly check your teacup puppies. Make sure they receive proper vaccine to protect them from illness.

Teacup Yorkies should have a good place to stay in order to survive. Make sure that your teacup puppies have a personal space in your house. This space should be noise free. Teacup Yorkies can easily get depressed in a noisy and crowded room. Make sure they are properly supervised because they are prone to physical injuries as well. Your teacup Yorkies is bold and brave. It loves constant cuddling and is loyal to its owners.

Teacup Chihuahua Puppies

A teacup Chihuahua weights 2 to 6 pounds. Their life span ranges from 14 to 18 years. They need to be exercised and they are prone to allergies, asthma and back pain. It is advisable that they have a regular check up with a veterinarian. Teacup Chihuahua is prone to birthing and dental issues. Unlike long haired teacup breeds, a teacup Chihuahua requires minimum trimming and grooming. Their food should be of manageable sizes because the tooth is small.

Also, make sure you drop baby oil in its eye before taking a bath. Their eyes tend to get so dry that it could lead to unpleasant situation if its eyes get caught with the soap while taking a bath. However, simply damp him with a clean cloth if his hair is still short. Your teacup Chihuahua can be territorial and protective. Therefore, it is not suitable to have them around small children. They can be loyal to just one owner and do not go along well with other teacup breeds.

Teacup Maltese Puppies

Teacup Maltese weights 4 to 7 pounds. Life expectancy ranges from 9 to 11 years. Teacup Maltese requires a regular schedule with a veterinarian. This breed is prone to dental issues and gum disease. Feed them with dry food with meat as your primary ingredient. However, be careful not to give them too much fat because their digestive systems are not tough enough to deal with foods with very high fat foods.

Keep their nails trimmed and manage their long coat to prevent tangles. Their bath routine should be at least every two weeks because they usually have white coat. Your teacup Maltese is affectionate and smart. They also have a very keen sense of smell. This is one of its advantages over the other breed.

Teacup Pomeranian Puppies

Teacup Pomeranian weights 3 to 7 pounds and their life span ranges from 12 to 15 years. They require regular grooming. This consists of brushing their coat and bathing. This is because they have thick coat. The owner should be mindful of their eyes, teeth and ears. Pomeranian have lovely persona. They are friendly even to strangers.

They get excited once they sense a presence. More so, they are smart dogs. Therefore, they can be trained as well. They are active indoors. They can come in very handy as your watch dog because it is sensitive to any presence. It reacts to just about any movement or presence it senses.

Teacup Pug Puppies

A teacup pug weights 14 to 18 pounds. Their life span ranges from 12 to 14 years. One feature that is noticeable to pug is the folds that you will see all over its body. Be mindful of this fold because dirt and bacteria can actually find it homely. Make sure you clean the folds with warm and clean cloth. Nails should be trimmed regularly as well. Their nails can grow faster than you think possible. The unpleasant result is if the nails break. This is going to be painful for your teacup pug.

Teacup pug is prone to dental issues. Therefore, make sure their teeth are always clean and tartar free. There will be no much issues when it comes to its coat because it is a breed with shorter hair. However, make sure you brush their hair at least once a day to keep them looking stunning.Their bath schedule should be at least once a month.

Teacup pug puppies are extremely intelligent. They can remember their owners’ voice and isolate it from the rest. This comes in very handy when training your teacup pug. They could be hard headed as well and they tend to develop a particular habit. This could be an advantage if your pug developed a healthy and good habit.

Teacup Shih Tzu Puppies

Teacup Shih Tzu weights 9 – 16 pounds. Because of her long hair, it should be bath at least every three weeks. This breed also needs at least an hour of rigid exercise every day. Teacup Shih Tzu had sensitive teeth so it is important that you keep the teeth away from tartar. It should have regular check up with a veterinarian and should have a complete vaccine. Extreme weather is also harmful to teacup Shih Tzu. This means too much hot and cold weather can be fatal for this breed. Your Teacup Shih Tzu needs attention and love from the members of the household. This would keep your teacup puppy happy and contented.
