The Best Wireless USB Adapter Under 20 Dollars

Netgear N150 Wireless USB Adapter (WNA 1100)

The Netgear N150 is a great solution if you use it on-the-go. The 802.11n speed definitely lives up to expectations, as far as speed. This incredibly fast wireless USB adapter will not hold you down.

The setback I have experienced is while using it for long periods of time. I use it as a permanent connection to my WiFi router on one of my computers. It tends to disconnect from the network about once every couple of days. I will then have to unplug it from the USB docking station and plug it back in before I can reconnect to the network. But it’s not really that big of a deal to me. It’s not as annoying as it may seem, and not a big enough of an issue for me to give it a bad review.

Product Description

This wireless USB adapter is about the size of a typical USB flash drive. It comes with a handy docking station that holds it upright on your desk. So you don’t have to plug it in behind your computer, where it’s hard to see the connection status light.

I have used the Netgear N150 up to about 150 feet away from my wireless router. That is through about 3 walls, in the garage. I never notice any dips in performance.

I consider myself a heavy internet user. I like to watch movies on Netflix, download movies on iTunes, and watch a lot of high definition YouYube videos. I often find myself watching YouTube videos while downloading movies on iTunes at the same time. This wireless USB adapter handles it great.

It fits nicely inside your pocket. It’s about the same size as a typical USB flash drive, as mentioned above.

I highly recommend this adapter to anyone looking for something cheap and powerful. You can find it for under $20 on Amazon (see the link above). I have been very happy with it.
