The Croods soundtrack features a score composed by Alan Silvestri, an American film composer best known for his scores on several of director Robert Zemeckis’ films. These include Flight, A Christmas Carol, Beowulf, The Polar Express, Cast Away, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Forrest Gump, and Romancing The Stone. Other well-known movies he scored are Predator, The Mummy Returns, Van Helsing, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, and Captain America: The First Avenger. He also scored The Avengers which is one of the biggest and most successful films released in 2012. Silvestri has been nominated twice by the Academy Awards for his music on Forrest Gump and The Polar Express. He is a recipient of the Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award given by the city of Vienna.

About The Film
Directed by Kirk DeMico and Chris Sanders (they also wrote the screenplay) and set in the prehistoric period, The Croods revolves around a family of cavemen who are forced to leave their home and go look for another one after a tragic earthquake destroys it. Along their journey, they come across a young man who comes up with intelligent inventions like fire. The man in the family of cavemen has his Leader of the Hunt status threatened by the newcomer to their group. The Croods family members are voiced by Nicolas Cage (The Frozen Ground, Joe), Catherine Keener, Emma Stone (Movie 43, Gangster Squad), Clarke Duke and Cloris Leachman. The young man they encounter in their journey is voiced by Ryan Reynolds (Turbo, R.I.P.D.).
The Croods: Prehistoric Party! (Video Game)
This is a video game based on the movie. Players can put themselves in the shoes of the Croods family and go on an adventure. The game offers thirty party-style mini-games. The game will be available on Wii, Nintendo DS, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. The game can also be played in multi-player mode with players of up to four. The game also features creatures that arent seen in the movie.
