I have been using the Garmin Forerunner 205 several times per week and each week during some time. It is extremely reliable and takes about a minute to synchronize with the satellites (but this, obviously will have to do with where you are and climate). It is really light and you barely notice it when you are running. It is as precise as the GPS information it receives ( for the great majority of the people this is enough).

Besides, the way of scrolling through the menus and commands in the 405 has generated some controversy between some groups of users. The 405 comes in versions with or without a heart monitor feature. On the other hand the 405 model may acquire satellites a little bit faster than the other two models.
