The Impact of Education and the Need for Reforms

-

Education is one industry which must not be only looked at as a business entity, a sector which contributes to the profit and loss of a company. Every educational institute is it a school, college or institute has a huge role to play. They actually play a role in shaping the future of a company. The future of the country is in their hands and is something that they must look at as something that has been doing the rounds for a while now. There is a lot that they have to offer and they contribute in a large way to the country. It is their students who grow up to become the future of our country. Therefore, it is their responsibility to come forward and own it. It is their initiative that can make the country a better place to live.

Since the role of education is that important, it is also imperative that the students are actually guided in the right direction. And this surely can be achieved through counseling. Counseling is extremely important to understand what actually is going on in the minds of the students and through this you can actually make them realize what their roles and responsibilities in life are and how they can fulfill it.

Also, the education industry also needs to evolve with time. New courses, new syllabus should be introduced at regular intervals keeping in mind the industry needs, the trends occurring in the country and around the world. It is very important for the education industry to realize this and act upon it. One such example where the education industry has acted upon such a situation and evolved is with the introduction of vocational training courses.

The Impact of Education and the Need for Reforms

There was a need in the industry for skilled employees. Hiring employees and then training them is an old practice. This only results in wasting of time both of the student and the company. The company does not have so much time. Therefore, the education industry came up with vocational training courses. These courses are specially designed to provide the students with on the job training, something that usually used to occur once they were selected and it was done by the company itself. But not anymore, today through these courses, students actually learn the skills that they need during their job in the course itself and well equipped with it once they are done with their course. So, when they join any company, they are already trained and do not need any special training and make sure that they are direct contributors to the company right from day one. This helps boost the confidence of the employees as well as they become an asset for the company also.
