The Quickest and Cheapest Way To Cure Acne at Home

Acne is a skin condition that plagues many teenagers and adults, and it is an embarrassing condition that is very difficult to cure. While dermatologists may prescribe Accutane to cure acne, there are terrible side effects which can make the acne suddenly seem not as serious. Similarly, over the counter acne products usually all have the same old ingredients (salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide), which irritate your skin and can actually make your acne worse. It would seem as if there was no way around damaging your skin further to get rid of the pesky acne pimples and scars. However, there is one method that I assure you will control your acne, and you can do it at home for only a couple of dollars a month.

If you continue to follow the methods I am about to explain, you should be able to control your acne and prevent future zits from erupting through your skin.

Your daily routine is going to consist of taking a bath every night, right before bed, and adding the following ingredients to your bath water. However, before you begin using this method, I advise you to clean your bathtub really well, with bleach or a similar product that will kill all the bacteria in the tub.

Here are the ingredients you will add to a full bathtub:
4 Drops of Tea Tree or Neem oil – (Available at health food stores)
4 Cups of Sea Salt – (Cheapest to buy in bulk)
4 Cups of Epsom Salt – (Available at drugstores. You can buy this in bulk for only $0.50 a pound at some stores)

Here is the theory behind using Sea Salt and Epsom Salt? Epsom salt is scientifically proven to expel toxins out of your body starting at the skin, and Sea salt contains minerals and naturally occurring chemicals found in the ocean which could replenish your body lost minerals and also for its antiseptic properties.

The theory for using Tea Tree oil or Neem oil is really skin deep: Tea Tree and Neem oils are scientifically proven to kill a wide range of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and microbes. There are also other oils, such as oregano oil, which can provide the same benefits. These oils will help kill all the bacteria on the surface of your skin, and keep the bacteria from regenerating.

Fill your bath tub with the mixtures and warm water, and soak in the tub for about 20-30 minutes. Try to not get the water in your eyes, because the tea tree oil can irritate your mucous membranes and it doesn’t feel pleasant. After 20-30 minutes of soaking, rinse off with cold water. The cold water will close the pores on your body.

If you don’t have access to a bathtub, you can mix a few spoonfuls of the Epsom and Sea salts with a couple of drops of tea tree oil in a bowl of warm water, and apply with a clean cloth to your face, neck, back or wherever for 20 minutes as a compress. However, this method will not be as beneficial as the soaks.

Finally, get some sun! Over the counter products will tell you to stay out of the sun, because creams that contain benzoyl peroxide can cause you to get serious sunburns. The sun is your friend, though. If your acne makes it too embarrassing to tan in public, just go outside and expose your problem areas for about 5-10 minutes in direct sunlight every day. You will get your daily dose of Vitamin D, which is beneficial for your bones AND your skin.

You should begin to notice some serious results after about 2 months. You might think that takes too long, but lets be honest with ourselves. The only other thing that will give you results that quickly is Accutane. No matter what products from the drugstores claim to do, if you actually have Acne, your zits will not clear up overnight or in a few days. Even if you clear up the ones you have now, new pimples will form and erupt. This is why the bath is so beneficial – it is not a spot treatment, and over time, it will treat the acne at the source.

Think about it this way: if you have ever been to the beach and have seen the people who live right on the ocean and frequently swim in the ocean, their skin seems flawless. It’s because they are constantly drying their skin out in the sun, replenishing it in the mineral rich ocean water, and repeating this cycle every day. This method of treating your acne will help you achieve the results you want in a short period of time, and it will keep your acne under control as long as you follow the program.
