Want to Work in Dubai? Here are some Placement Agencies catering to this

Dubai has a population of 1.7 million. Out of this the expatriate population is almost 75%.This shows the extant of expatriate participation in ongoing projects and work at Dubai. Despite the ongoing recession the percentage of expatriates has not decreased dramatically. This expatriate population does a variety of jobs from the lowest level worker to the highest level of work at the conceptual level.
This work force needs constant replenishment as a lot many workers leave their jobs and go home and an equal number leave on completion of their contacts. Thus there is always a need for workers at all levels for placements in Dubai.
To cater for employment opportunity in Dubai there are many employment agencies. These agencies are not entirely local and have their main offices sometimes in India and other places. I am giving below a brief write up of some of the more important employment agencies. These agencies do not charge any fee from the prospective candidate and that by itself is big advantage. Generally a lot many agencies do some arm-twisting and extort money from candidates for the jobs they get for them. Try and avoid such agencies
To start with we have BAC Middle East. This is a well established agency and has been in operation for over 30 years. You can contact it at – tel +971-4-3375747. Its web site is www.bacme.com.
The second important placement agency in Dubai is Charterhouse Middle east. This agency also has allied offices at Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Australia. It can be contacted at tel +971-4-3325116.It is located in Suite 502, Al Moosa Tower 1, Sheikh Zayed Road Website is www.charterhouseme.ae.
The next important agency is Clarendon Parker Middle East. This agency was set up in 1994 and can be contacted on tel +971-4-3910460. The agency is based at Office 205, Building 1, Dubai Internet City. In addition the agency has offices at They also have offices in Dubai Airport Free Zone, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. However a change of management has resulted and in 2007 this company was acquired by Manpower Inc.. Website www.clarendonparker.com.
IQ Selection is another agency and has a good track record. It can be contacted at – tel +971-4-3297770. It is located at 901/902 Park Place, Sheikh Zayed Road and is open for 5 days in a week from Sunday to Thursday, Website www.iqselection.com.
Kershaw Leonard is another agency that has a clean image. This company is 10 years old as far as its Dubai operations are concerned. It can be contacted at www.kershawleonard.net and tel +971-4-3434606. It is located on Emarat Atrium building on Sheikh Zayed Road, just before Safa Park interchange if heading in Abu Dhabi direction. This also functions from Sunday-Thursday 7.30am-6.00pm. KL also has an office in Doha.
Another global placement is Monster.com . This is a global site. Many local placement agencies refer to this portal.
In addition there are a few agencies that cater only to locals for employment.i.e UAE nationals. Among them are Tanmia- a national human resource development and employment authority for locals.Emasco recruitment,Al Ruwais human resource agency among others.Aamal – recruitment agency for UAE nationals was also set up by Clarendon Parker Middle East and Emirates People Recruitment Company (from Abu Dhabi).
Recruitment agencies have so far had field day but in the coming months with all round recession their work is cut out and a revival only of the economy will bail them out. The good news is that Dubai is again rising and work opportunities are also going up. Good luck to all who want to work in Dubai
